Ideas to study facts: make flash cards using index cards; have a parent read out the problems one at a time, while you answer the problems on a white board, paper, or verbally.

Tuesday- Reteaching 15-4 and Facts are due on Friday
Wednesday- Reteaching 15-5 and Facts are due on Friday
Thursday- Review of Unit 15 (Test Tomorrow) and Facts are due tomorrow
Children in the third-grade should be working on his or her homework for approximately 30-40 minutes (10 minutes multiplied by grade level). If your child is struggling with his or her homework for more than 60 minutes, please write me a short note in his or her agenda (homework notebook) or on the assignment. Your child will receive credit as long as he or she tried to complete the assignment and a note is presented.
Homework: Each night (Monday-Thursday) the students will have mathematics and spelling homework. Tuesdays and Thursdays your child will be expected to complete a short reading assignment. Occasionally, a study guide in the area of science or social studies will be sent home for review before a test.
If your child is struggling with his or her homework for more than 60 minutes (this does not include 15 minutes of reading), please write me a short note in his or her homework book or on the assignment. Your child will receive credit as long as he or she tried to complete the assignment and a note is presented the next day. This 60 minutes means that your child was working for the entire 60 minutes.
Children are also expected to read for 15 minutes each night. Reading each day is very important. Reading helps a child with written expression and expands his or her vocabulary, which improves a child’s ability to articulate, and comprehend when reading and listening. Children also benefit from listen to a fluent reader read: parent/guardian or books on tape, while following along. The more a child hears and sees a word that word becomes a permanent part of his or her working memory.
